More than 100 Australians stranded in Thailand due to demonstrations have arrived back on home soil on a specially chartered flight.
They were all relieved to be finally home, 194 holidaymakers had a longer stay than expected in Phuket after political protestors shut down the airport last Friday.
Most arriving at Sydney Airport have been full of praise for Jetstar who chartered a plane to collect them after around 120 flights were cancelled.
Some, however have criticised the lack of communication including one man whose father died while he was away and he was unable to get home.
"There was no communication [from Jetstar]," he told LIVENEWS.com.au.
"Some people got letters saying they could get on certain [other] flights, we didn't get any letter.
"It was completely inconsistent there was no plan whatsoever or anything."
They told of scenes of frustration and anger at Phuket airport when the flight was delayed several hours.
But many said they'd been trapped in paradise and quite enjoyed an extension of their holiday.
