Miley Cyrus creeps in Aussie charts

8/09/2008 11:03:00 AM.  | AAP

Miley Cyrus has shrugged off a troubled couple of months to land a hit single and album in the Australian charts.

Seven Things has crept into number 10 in the singles chart, while Breakout has stormed to number two in the albums chart.

Slipknot remain on top of the albums chart with All Hope Is Gone, while the soundtrack for Mamma Mia! is at number three, ahead of Coldplay's Viva La Vida.

Michael Jackson has celebrated his 50th birthday with the release of the aptly titled King Of Pop, which has debuted at number five.

John Williamson has climbed four spots to number six, while Sneaky Sound System's second album 2 has dropped five places to number eight.

The singles chart remains steady this week, with the top four spots unchanged from last week.

Kid Rock sits at number one with All Summer Long, ahead of Lady GaGa, P!nk and Metro Station.

Jason Mraz has climbed two spots to number five, in front of the Pussycat Dolls, Rihanna and Katy Perry.

The Veronicas are the best placed Aussies this week - at number nine again with Take Me On The Floor.
