Nicole Kidman is “emotional and highly strung”.

The ‘Moulin Rouge!’ actress – who has a two-month old daughter Sunday Rose with her musician husband Keith Urban – gets upset easily and finds it hard to hide her feelings if she gets angry.

She said: “I would describe myself as emotional and highly strung. If something upsets me, it really upsets me. If something makes me angry I get really angry.

“But it’s all very upfront. I can’t hide it. I’m also loyal and I hope I’m fun.”

The 41-year-old actress, who has two adopted children, Isabella, 15 and Connor, 13 with ex-husband Tom Cruise, also opened up about the birth of Sunday, saying she feels “blessed”.

She said: “To be given the blessing of a child at this stage of my life was wonderful. My parents suggested the name Sunday. Her middle name is a tribute to Keith’s late grandmother.”

Nicole is now planning to devote more time to her family, and will only take on new projects which fit in with her new philosophy.

She added in an interview with Britain’s The Sun newspaper: “Whether the project you do succeeds or fails, it doesn’t matter - you have your loved one. Now I have a very full, rich life that extends far beyond the film industry.

“I think it comes with decisions that you’ve made about what level of success you desire and what’s important in your life. Work has to fit in with the logistics and dynamics of my family.”
