Police and animal advocates are disgusted after a cat was found hanging skinned and gutted in Wagga Wagga.
A 69-year-old woman found the animal while walking along Forsyth street yesterday morning.
The cat's missing body parts were located a short distance away.
The RSPCA's David O'Shannessy says the person responsible faces big penalties.
“It’s very concerning that there’s individuals in the community that are capable of this sort of thing.
“Obviously depending on the circumstances if the offender is found and convicted of animal cruelty offences then the maximum penalty they can face is up to five years imprisonment.”
