Drought still affecting NSW

20/09/2008 8:45:00 AM.  | Joel Labi
Despite heavy rainfall in parts, the drought is spreading again in NSW.

Almost 72 per cent of the state is now drought declared - up by more than six per cent.

Primary Industries Minister Ian McDonald says all we can do is pray for rain.

“Some parts of the northwest and parts of the central west have done reasonably well in recent times.”

“Basically we’re wishing and hoping for significant rainfall from a decent front coming across most of the State.”
