Estranged wife has designs on Cooper’s dosh

23/09/2008 11:29:00 AM.  | Tim Brunero
Fashion designer Wayne Cooper and estranged de facto wife Sarah Marsh are bitterly slugging it out over their joint assets with the two refusing to even acknowledge each other from opposite sides of the courtroom yesterday.

The feud between the pair went public in mid June when Cooper was charged with assaulting and intimidating Marsh.

In yesterday’s Supreme Court round of the ongoing stoush Marsh failed in an attempt to have Cooper pay her $5000 a month in maintenance, instead having to settle for $2000.

The unemployed former coat hanger claims to be relying on hand outs from friends and family despite trousering $15,000 from a tell all interview with A Current Affair.

The court also ordered Cooper to give Marsh access to a $28,000 trust fund.

But it didn’t all go Marsh’s way with the court ordering her to return to Cooper a black 2007 Jaguar X-Type in exchange for a Volkswagen for which he will pay running costs.

Cooper plans to sell the couple’s million-dollar Tamarama home, although he must first receive the permission of the court.

Cooper has pleaded not guilty to assault charges over an alleged domestic dispute at the home on June 19.  The matter returns to court on October 31.

Tim - very seedy journalism. You are writing as if she is the guilty party in this when if Wayn had not been physically abusing her then none of this would be an issue. Of course she has a right to his 'dosh' given she is the mother of his two children. And in relation to your comment "despite trousering $15,000 from a tell all interview with A Current Affair" again, why shouldn't she speak up against domestic violence so that other woman can gain some courage to do the same? Disgusting.

Tim you should the facts straight. First I would like to point out that the money from ACC went straight to legals, second Wayne Cooper has cut off all utilities including the gas as of yesterday, third perhaps you should focus your poisonous comments on the fabulous Wayne Cooper who regularly abused his wife in front of the children, lies about it and claims poor when paying $600.00 a week rent but not a cent to put food in his kids mouths. Disgusting. Sarah is brave to speak out. It happened
