Shane Warne peeved at biographical musical

29/09/2008 3:43:00 PM.  | Jesse Perez
Shane Warne’s comfort with controversy has made him a ripe target for tabloids and talkback – but the production of a musical based on his life and exploits has got the Australian King of spin into a twist.

Shane Warne - The Musical is the brain child of Eddie Perfect, a Melbourne comedian and songwriter, but as far as pot shots go, Shane’s had a gutful with this one.

"I have had 13 unauthorised biographies done in my life and the first one I read was completely wrong. You should have permission off anyone to write about their life." He told The Sun newspaper.

The musical features a range of numbers taking a close look at Warne’s controversial private life including ‘What an SMS I’m in’, ‘Dancing With The Stars’ and ‘Take The Pill’.

LIVENEWS.com.au contacted production company Token Events, who said that they were “focusing on promoting the musical ahead of our Dec 10 premiere”, and that Perfect would not be making a comment in regard to Warne’s statements.

maybe he should have thought about that before he did all the things he did in such a public way. and with the women he did these things with, who were only to happy to share it with the media for a few dollars. who can ever forget that picture of him in his undies with that huge blow up penis, i mean what was he thinking? obviously nothing about his children and what they have to live with

There used to be a saying " what happens on tour stays on tour" you don`t take 700 test wickets being a nice guy. you have to have some sort mongrel in you. I think thats something some of you hippy Journos, and flower picking bleeding hearts, just don`t understand, living in fairy land. So how many test wickets have you lot got?

Steve Hass Newcaslte, I bet Shane wishes it had all stayed on tour as well, unfortunately the slappers he chose to party with don't understand that particular principal...... And don't blame the press for Shanes indiscretions mate, he had a choice, he made the wrong ones every time and got burned, that simple......... great cricketer though...... and I'm no bleeding heart mate but I do have a true one.........
