Cash and guns stolen in armoured car hold-up

30/09/2008 8:13:00 PM.  |
Armed men have fled with cash and a guard's gun following an armoured car hold-up on Sydney's northern beaches.

One of three guards was threatened with gun, by the three masked men at a shopping centre on Jacksons Road at Warriewood, about 7.40am Tuesday.

Officers are searching for a 2004 blue Subaru Liberty sedan, with the number plates YGF-965.

Detective Inspector Mark Henney says the gang may have had help from other people prior to the robbery.

"There has been some planning, some thought, perhaps even some surveillance that has been carried out perhaps in advance."

"As well as that there may be situation where they're using other people to provide information to them prior to them committing the offence."
