1/10/2008 6:37:00 AM.  | Laura Tunstall
Several passengers have suffered minor injuries after a man jumped through the window of a moving train in Sydney's south.

The express train was heading north through Engadine railway station when a man jumped into its path.

The 40-year-old crashed through the glass window and into the driver who was knocked out of his chair.

The emergency brakes kicked in, the train screeching to a halt and some passengers suffering minor injuries after being thrown around.

The train driver suffered cuts from broken glass and shock - he was taken to hospital.

Police are preparing a report for the coroner on the 40-year-old man who jumped - he died at the scene.
