Todd Carney arrested again after shop window smashed

8/10/2008 11:31:00 AM.  | LIVENEWS.com.au

Disgraced former NRL star Todd Carney is in trouble again, this time over allegations he smashed a shop window over the weekend.

Carney was arrested at a Goulburn pub on Saturday night, but was released pending further inquiries.

Earlier that day a window had been smashed in at a mobile phone shop. Carney was identified at the scene.

He was interviewed for 40 minutes but released as police seek CCTV of the incident.

Carney is still considered a suspect.

The 22-year-old was sacked by the Raiders in July after a series of alcohol-related incidents, including urinating on a patron’s head in a hotel and running away from police after driving drunk.

He will play in the English Super League with Huddersfield next season.

This has now gone too far. When Carney was sacked by Canberra, he begged, pleaded & prayed to be spared. We now know that this was a massive load of tripe! Sorry to say as everyone should be given a chance to redeem themselves but this dude just seems not to want to! If I was the Huddersfield CEO, I'd be boarding up the windows & locking up my daughters 'cause Todd Carney's a comin!!!!

We have to make a stand and stop being football consumers, otherwise we are giving the green light to this pack mentality and thuggery. End all football!
