Leading Sydney radio broadcaster Alan Jones will be staying behind his 2GB breakfast mic until at least 2013, after signing a new agreement with Macquarie Radio Network.
The new contract blows away speculation the famously workaholic broadcaster would slow things down after undergoing surgery for prostate cancer this year.
Jones has dominated Sydney’s radio ratings since joining 2GB in 2002.
In 2004, Jones received a Queen’s Birthday Honour for his involvement with numerous charities as well as his service to the media and sports administration.
His new contract takes him up to 30 June, 2013.
Alan Jones’s column appears daily on LIVENEWS.com.au.
LIVENEWS.com.au is owned by Macquarie Radio Network, which also owns 2GB.
