Brent Prismall is now an Essendon player and Carlton finally secured ruckman Robert Warnock from Fremantle as AFL trade week drew to a close today.
Prismall was granted his release from Geelong after being exchanged for the Bombers' third-round pick in the coming national draft, No.39.
The Blues also got their man after five days of negotiations, involving the swap of four draft picks with the Dockers.
Under the deal, Carlton got Warnock and Fremantle's pick No.69 in exchange for Carlton's 24, 56 and 72 picks.
The two deals took to five the number of trades completed today, and six for the week.
In the first deal completed today, Collingwood sent winger Rhyce Shaw and pick 61 to Sydney in exchange for the Swans' pick No.46.
The Magpies also acquired small forward Anthony Corrie from the Brisbane Lions, in exchange for a sixth-round pick (No.93).
The Western Bulldogs exchanged midfielder Farren Ray and pick No.48 with St Kilda in return for the Saints' pick 31.
The only trade completed before today was the movement of Port Adelaide fringe player Adam Thomson to Richmond, for the Tigers' third-round pick, No.42.
Despite the late action, the limited trading action left a handful of players unable to be swapped and contemplating either staying with their clubs or seeking a move with via the national or pre-season draft.
Sydney forward Ryan O'Keefe had wanted to move to a Victorian club but a deal could not be done, while Essendon could not ship off winger Andrew Lovett.
West Coast ruckman Mark Seaby and North Melbourne midfielder Daniel Harris also wanted moves, but they did not happen.

Corrie, 24, returned strongly for the Lions to play 20 games after being sidelined by a knee reconstruction in 2007.
The small forward played 53 games for the Lions in five completed seasons, for 48 goals.
Ray, 23, was initially recruited with pick No.4 in the 2003 national draft and played 75 games in five completed seasons.
But he played only 13 games in 2008 and requested to be moved on to another Melbourne-based club.
