Top team ruled out of Bathurst 1000

11/10/2008 3:36:00 PM.  | Mark Levy
After qualifying sixth fastest the HSV team of Rick Kelly and Paul Radisich has been forced to pull out of the Bathurst 1000 after a nasty crash.

Kelly watched on from the pitch as his teammate took to the course for the morning practice session but it wasn't long before they were out of business.

The throttle jammed on Radisich and forced him into the sandpit, he then plowed through the barrier at 180km/h.

The force caused unrepairable damage to the front end and the driver has a broken right ankle which has ruled him out completely.
