Three young men have been stabbed in two separate incidents in the same area of central Sydney, police say.
At about 1.15am (AEDT) two groups were arguing near the War Memorial in Hyde Park when the fight became violent and two men were stabbed.
A 20-year-old was stabbed in the lower abdomen and his 25-year-old friend was stabbed in the chest.
The offenders fled the scene, police said.
The injured pair were taken to St Vincent's Hospital, but police said their injuries were not life-threatening.
At about 3am (AEDT), a 21-year-old French man was waiting for a bus on nearby Liverpool Street when he became involved in an altercation with another man and was stabbed in the hip.
The assailant caught a bus heading towards Bondi, but was arrested a short time later after witnesses called Triple-0.
A knife was found between two seats on the bus, police said.
A 23-year-old Bondi man has been charged with reckless wounding and was expected to appear in Parramatta Bail Court later Saturday.
