South African golfer Charl Schwartzel has secured his third European Tour victory, winning the Madrid Masters by three shots from Argentina's Ricardo Gonzalez.

Schwartzel shot a second consecutive five-under 66 to finish 19-under for the tournament.

Australian Andrew Tampion started the final round with a share of fourth place but shot two-over to finish 11 off the pace in a share of 13th.
