A possible recall for ex-Socceroos skipper Craig Moore remains the most pressing issue facing coach Pim Verbeek ahead of Wednesday's World Cup qualifier against Qatar in Brisbane.
Moore was called into Verbeek's 28-man squad for the World Cup qualifier -- just eight months after he had effectively retired from international football following a 3-0 win over Qatar in Melbourne in February.
The Socceroos hold one of their final training sessions before the match tonight.
But Verbeek is giving little away as to whether he will elevate Moore straight into his starting 11 to partner Lucas Neill in the heart of defence.
Chris Coyne played alongside Neill and was one of the best on the field in Australia's impressive 1-0 win over Uzbekistan in Tashkent last month and would miss out should Moore win selection.
Verbeek is also toying with how best to replace absentee striker Harry Kewell and missing midfield trio Vince Grella, Carl Valeri and Mark Bresciano.
