Michael Clarke and Lara Bingle engaged

25/03/2008 6:21:00 AM.  |

Australian Test cricketer Michael Clarke and model Lara Bingle are reportedly engaged.

"Lara and Michael have rung in to family and friends over the Easter weekend extending the great news," the couple's representative, Chris White, of International Quarterback told Fairfax.

Bingle found fame when she fronted Tourism Australia's "Where the Bloody Hell are you" campaign, and Clarke's tipped as a future captain.

I think that Lara is three years too young to be married. But I wish them both well. I hope she never changes her last name, though, it allows so many good headlines. Just imagine the reporting of any new child .. 'Bing!' I thought Michael smooth as a batsman, but I am in awe of his all round ability.
