A woman has died after being accidentally shot while trying to get rid of a snake in Queensland’s southeast.

It's believed a 37-year-old man accidently fired his weapon while he and the woman were trying to lure the snake out of a shed on a property near Toowoomba.

The 33-year-old died at the scene.

Tragic. Reminds me of a passage from AB Facey's A Fortunate Life. Time has marched on, but we are still mortal.
