Oliver Stone has a dig at President Bush in 'W' promo poster

6/06/2008 3:42:00 PM.  | Jesse Perez

‘Platoon’ director Oliver Stone has lampooned American President George W. Bush, in a promotional poster for his upcoming biopic about the current US President.

The poster accentuates President Bush's famous gaffes which have been widely used to ridicule the U.S leader.

"They misunderestimated me; Families is where our nation takes hope, where wings take dream; I hear there are rumours on the internets that we are going to have a draft; I know the human being and fish can co-exist peacefully" it states.

Stone is putting the finishing touches to the biographical film, starring Josh Brolin as President Bush, and while the poster makes fun of the "goofy" president, he hasn't set out to make an "anti-Bush" polemic.

Although Stone has made his intention clear about how the President will be portrayed, it doesnt mean that Bush will be getting off lightly.

"America has defined itself in the early 21st century as a cowboy state. George W Bush has hyperbolically expressed all the cowboy mentality the world holds of America." Stone said in an interview to Screen Daily.

'W' is set for release in late 2008.

Hilarious! Really great design. Can't wait to see the movie! It will be great to see Bush' past. We however, took on "W"s future and went ahead and put him on trial for war crimes.

The thing about being a shameless partisan, propogandists and revisionist movie producer is that you should at least be able to put on a good movie (even if it is fiction parading as documentary). Problem with Oliver Stone is that his works of fantasy and make-belief are also really pathetic artistically so they have no value at all. Hollywood is a lefty haven so no surprise that the town gives him pleanty of rope but I gave up on him after Nixon and JFK. He is a maggot.

Like most of the idiots in Hollywood...Oliver Stone is a far left wacko. I find it funny that these hollywood losers all have time to call Bush a liar, murderer and so on, yet I dont remember them saying anything about Saddam, or about the way women were and are treated in the Middle East. None of these losers have a clue to what is really going on in the world. It is also interesting that these same people didnt say a word when Clinton bombed Iraq.
