Second building company collapses

A Hunter based building company has collapsed, putting the construction of dozens of new homes in limbo.

The Department of Fair Trading says it’s spoken to all known clients of Excellence Homes and is warning others not to sign new contracts with the group.

It follows the collapse of Beechwood Homes last month.
