Travis the childish call centre worker from Sydney was booted from Big Brother tonight as the show builds to the finale this Monday.
The diminutive 20-year-old’s high-pitched voice and immature antics frustrated many viewers as the dwindling number of housemates made his irritating behaviour more obvious.
Travis has had a spectacular journey in the house after first being suspected of being gay, and then having soap squirted in his eyes by some of the other boys in the house as he sat on the toilet.
That incident led to him being hospitalised.
Fellow housemate Nobbi was reprimanded by Big Brother for another bullying incident later in the series after goading Travis to nominate Alice as his least favourite housemates during a game of ‘truth or dare.
The incident left both Travis and Alice in tears.
In a climactic night fellow housemate Alice, a veterinarian from rural Victoria, was also removed from the house in a ‘double eviction’.
Though she was removed before Travis she only received 21% of the vote compared to Travis’ 31%. All five housemates were eligible for eviction.
Left to fight it out for the $250,000 prize is Rory a sex obsessed brickie from Geelong, Terri a Pauline Hanson worshipping supermarket worker from Sydney and Ben a 19-year-old law student from Perth.
Terri is expected to take out the series according to online betting agency Laseters Sportsbook who has the grandmother at $1.66 to take out the series.
If Terri does win she will become the oldest winner of Big Brother ever.
“I’ve taken bets on this show since it started and I never thought a 52 year-old, Pauline Hanson loving, supermarket worker could be favoured to win,” says Lasseters’ Gerard Daffy.
Terri was listed at $101.00 after returning to the house following her first night ‘eviction’ and has easily been the best backed housemate over the past three weeks with Lasseters.
“Favourites don’t have a great record in the Big Brother finale with the last three winners Aleisha, Jamie and Logan Greg all outsiders on the reality show’s final night,” Daffy added.
It’s the first time three people have been involved in the program’s finale. Lasseters has Victorian bricklayer Rory ($2.50) as second favourite ahead of Western Australian Law student Ben ($7.00).
