Melbourne bumps Sydney from top 10 cities

20/07/2008 11:11:00 AM.  | Gillian Cannon
Melbourne has kicked Sydney out of the world's top 10 most livable cities.

An international survey for a London lifestyle magazine has Sydney as eleventh on the list, down from seventh last year.

Melbourne came in at ninth, up from 17th last year, and bumped Sydney from the top ten.

The struggling public transport system is being blamed for Sydney's fall down the list, along with weekday shopping hours which are too short.

Why are we not surprised, so what is Delemma and his team of Muppets going to do about this one. What a huge slap in the face for Sydney residents. It inly took them 13 years to do this. Crime, Hospitals, Schools, Roads, trains, Buses Social welfare, Tunnels, Crime, Unemployment, Energy Shortages, Misc Tax's The list is growing. While Asian Cities go from strength to strength Sydney flounders like a beached whale. Thanks Morris, great job. Take a medal.
