D-day for collapsed housing company, Beechwood

21/07/2008 10:03:00 AM.  | Gillian Cannon
The struggling homeowners and builders caught up in the Beechwood housing collapse will have their future decided for them today.

Two competent builders are left in the bidding race but if a sale is not finalised, the company will go into liquidation.

Shadow Minister for Fair Trading, Catherine Cusack says everyone is hoping Beechwood will be bought out.

“That is clearly going to be the best interest of all of the creditors and companies that were left holding so much debt when Beechwood collapsed, and it’s going to be the best outcome for staff.

“For consumers, a new builder getting in will mean their projects can go ahead as well.”
