Ambulance officers are going ahead with industrial action, after the Government refused to sack its CEO Greg Rochford.
Paramedics delivered an ultimatum to the Government on Tuesday, warning them to appoint a uniformed head and deliver an extra 300 workers to the service.
But Health Union secretary Michael Williamson says talks have broken down, and they've been left with no option.
“The community of NSW will have a free ride on the ambulances in this state – that amounts to a loss of income of around $1.5 million a week.
“Those bans will remain in place until we’ve reached a position with the department…that Mr Rochford not be part of the ambulance and a commitment of an increase of 300 additional staff.”
