Mr T ad withdrawal claimed as win for gay rights

Gay rights groups are claiming victory after confectionery company Mars pulled its latest Mr T Snickers ad from the air in the US, amid allegations of homophobia.

The ad, created by Omnicom Group in London, features an effeminate man power-walking who is shot at by Mr T from a Snickers-firing machine gun mounted to a jeep.

Like previous ads in the campaign, Mr T finishes by telling the man to “Get some nuts!”

Human Rights Campaign’s Daryl Herrschaft said his group "applauds Mars for taking swift and appropriate action" but they’re "surprised to see the company return to the same practice it had just recently rejected."

Mars had previously been under fire for a 2007 Super Bowl ad in which two men are revolted after they accidentally kiss.

Well it's a crap ad so it's probably saved Mars from some embarassment but I can't see any contaent that would be offensive to anyone.

"Gay rights group claim victory"? Does this mean they actualy have some form of Psychological hang up about their femine side? Either your gay and proud or gay and ashamed, which is it? If its the gay and proud then " Get some nuts " and get over it. It's a frickn add for cry'n out loud. Not some pointer to your Obvious lack of Confidence in your selves!

Mr. T is the man and I think pulling the ad is stupid. What year do we live in? Come on, "Get some Nuts." I just got Mr. T voice on my Tomtom GPS. I downloaded it from Navtones.com and I love it! But wait, Am I meant to get offended because he calls me a fool if I make a wrong turn or something. Navtones does Kim Cattrall's voice too, when she asks if we want to pull over and get in the backseat, can I claim I am being sexually harassed! Come on people, its an ad!

Mr. T is the man and pulling the ad is stupid! I mean what year do we live in, last time I checked it was 2008 for pity sake. I just downloaded Mr. T’s voice from Navtones.com for my GPS and I love it. But my question is, am I meant to get offended every time I make a wrong turn and he calls me a fool or something? On that note, I also go Kim Cattrall from Navtones, can I claim she is sexually harassing me when she says, “Lets just pull over and get in the backseat, thats bigger enough for us two, or maybe three”? The Snickers ad is just an ad and with them pulling it, it’s probably getting more attention it would have if it just came out. (Pun) “Get Some Nuts.”

I still can't figure out how less that 10% of the population can control so many people. Shame they can't just start acting like self-confident human beings instead of spoiled and let us laugh at the ads. Why are they afraid of depictions of themselves as girly boys or manly girls? Isn't it pretty much true? Guess they have probably been whining all their lives instead of growing up.

More proof positive that fascism is back and wearing a pink swastika. Whenever the minority dictates to the majority and successfully shuts down democratic dialogue there lies fascism. Homosexual activists cannot find self acceptance so they are validation through intimidation and extortion. Wise up world, the same elite who were behind Germany's crimes against humanity are back and wearing a rainbow armband.

Being that Mr. T is short in stature, wears lots of jewelry, and is from a racial minority in the US, there are many masculine men who might be offended by the ad. No "tough" people in this country would realistically want to be associated with the actor.

Anti-gay??? I thought that is all that gay men want is nuts. I haven't seen the ad, but from the sound of it, the guys is told to go find nuts. Now if he had been told to go find ovaries, then the ad would be anti-gay!

We have become way too PC. This was a funny ad. Pretty soon all humor will be banned, except humor against straight white males. It's silly.
