Paris Hilton's mother has published her disapproval of her daughter's image in a political ad for Republican presidential candidate John McCain.
McCain said last week his campaign ad mocking Democrat Barack Obama with images of Hilton and singer Britney Spears was part of an attempt to inject humour into the presidential race.
But Hilton's mother Kathy Hilton, a McCain donor says the ad is a complete waste of the country's time and attention, and a waste of contributors' donations to his campaign.
The ad plays on Obama's popularity by dismissing him as a mere celebrity, like Hilton and Spears.
McCain defended the ad on Friday, saying it's got humour and they're having fun.
But Kathy Hilton has denounced the ad on the Huffington Post web site, as frivolous saying it's a complete waste of the country's time and attention, when millions of people are losing their homes and their jobs.
