The new grocery website, which compares monthly supermarket prices is up and running, with Coles the early leader.
Retailers have criticised the site, established following the ACCC grocery inquiry, and say it will have a limited impact on prices.
But Christopher Zinn from Choice says it's a great tool for consumers.
“People will be surprised that the supermarket they use isn’t necessarily the cheapest one,” he told LIVENEWS.com.au
“Certainly the prices are close in terms of Coles and Woolworths, but the situation can change. So we would advise people to use the website, it has all sorts of interesting information.”
Grocerychoice.com will provide monthly checks on all major supermarkets.
