Bob Katter is a whining sook-bag

Bob Katter needs to harden the truck up.

You might not have seen it, but today he was all over the TV whining about how scared he is of city folk, of how we bend his words and those of all his country bumpkin cousins’.

How we stomp on all his good ol’ country honesty.

Come on, Bob. You need to put down the banjo and get some backbone - instead of laying around on the land revelling in rural welfare like diesel subsidies and phone and post rebates.

I think I speak for all of us shiny city peeps when I say we’re kind of sick of your whining. If it’s not drought relief, it’s water allocation, if it’s not dry land salinity it’s your wheat cartel giving kickbacks to Saddam.

To be honest mate we’re kind of sick of carrying you. You and your “honesty”.

Pauline Hanson, whose defence you leapt to this morning, her “honesty” did great stuff didn’t it?

Her well-thought out “honesty” for solving economic problems by printing more money. Or of “honestly” charging a 2% flat tax. To be honest that “honesty” didn’t get us far.

And all her “honesty” about Asians and Aborigines got us was international headlines and division at home.

We city folk wouldn’t say what Pauline Hanson said, because “honestly” they weren’t bloody morons.

What would have been best is if Pauline had just “honestly” admitted that she “honestly” knew nothing. That she had more opinions than knowledge and then just shut the hell up.

Yes, us eggheads in the metros – we really tend to be pretty picky – we kind of like political correctness. Because mostly it’s just that, correct. We like being correct.

But on this issue of ugly women going to Mt Isa, I have to say I agree with you.

Because women should feel completely comfortable being recruited as sex slaves for the none-too-picky miners of Mt Isa. I can’t believe hundreds of self-respecting sheilas haven’t jumped in their Ford Festivas to get up there and get themselves into the paws of the sweaty country blokes of Queensland’s dusty north.

Good on the Mayor of Mt Isa for using us city worry worts and our political correctness to get his point across.

It’s the kind of clever strategy regularly used by other politicians like you, Bob, from the nutcase right. The people who now give their Liberal party siblings a bad name.

Like Wilson “Ironbar” Tuckey – who got his nickname after being convicted of bashing an Aboriginal man with rubber flex.

Or Senator Ross Lightfoot who was fined by the Federal Court for his comments about Aboriginals.

Or Bronwyn Bishop, who said Pauline Hanson was a political prisoner when she was gaoled for fraud.

We need these people. You’re right, Bob, to remind us why we think the way we do.
Honestly.

Hey Timbo, 70% of the article mentions Pauline or other politicians (give or take a percent)... What's your point..? or are you just having a whinge (that's pretty much the substance of this article - ironic really) because you weren't invited to Mount Isa..?

As usual, another piece of blatant dishonesty from you, Tim. Ironically enough in an article on honesty! How do you do it? "Or Bronwyn Bishop, who said Pauline Hanson was a political prisoner when she was gaoled for fraud." More defamation, I though you would've learned after last week. The Queensland Court of Appeal QUASHED Pauline's conviction and ruled that her imprisonment was unlawful. Why do you keep neglecting to mention these facts in your constant quest to defame Pauline?

good onya Tim for ure comments - its crazy how the ignorant bumpkins are turning the point around & around- stomping on the fires they light with a kerosene soaked blanket - reminds me of doublethink/propaganda from Orwells' "1984".

Tim, it is a fact that the "shiny city peeps" and cities produce nothing. The city does however drain energy supplies from country areas, and water, producing one thing only, waste. Perhaps you would rather give Asian countries the subsidies so you can import food grown in sewerage waste from China and other countires. Not to mention the toxins they spray them with.Because Pauline wasnt PC enough doesnt mean she had no right to speak or stand for election.DJC is correct, it was unlawful.

I would have thought that those who wanted to go, would. Those who dont, wont. As for those who are looking for beauty, often find it beyond looks anyway. At least the women who did and succeed in any relationship outhere would be blessed wouldn't they? Peopel seem Much more relaxed in the outback, less plastic in the Facade.

Your words there Jonas, not Katters or the Mayors. I kind of expected someone like you to add your own version of their words. Now you have made it very clear that its city folk of your low intelligence that are the real rednecks.I imagine you use those terms often to the women in your life, if you have any that is.Misconstruing what they said wont cut it moron, you dont have a clue. Most intelligent people know we dont all look like Kidman or Clooney, we can have a giggle, your ugly inside out

James , I didnt send the veggies, LOL, and I live just down the road from you. Seen some trackies in Blaktown too James hehehee, few ugg boots in Mt Druitt as well. The beautiful industry gets old is all James. I got a laugh out of what the Mayor and Katter said, just as the women in Mt Isa did I suspect. As long as Im not ugly inside out like Jonas there, I can handle my exteriors flaws. Besides my man loves me, ugly and all, and he is a cityo like me.Cant take superficial bs. Cheers James.

For the sake of political correctness I'd like to emphasise that not all country people are like Katter. Stats and voting may seem to indicate otherwise, but some small country towns are great places enriched by a strong sense of community. The only community I've found in the city is the Suit Club, which is predominantly people standing around in public places looking like an organised group but not talking to each other because interaction would be embarrassing. Really, which is worse?

What would have been best is if Tim had just “honestly” admitted that he “honestly” knew nothing. That he had more opinions than knowledge and then just shut the hell up...... Many of us would like if you did just that Tim. You should have stayed in BB House, more your scene and IQ level.

Actually i think you'll find, just to get all earnest for a second, we, in Sydney at least, get about 80% of our veges from the Sydney basin - not from 'the country' at all....

http://blogs.smh.com.au/science/archives/2006/11/where_does_our.html. Tim,check out this site. "many are under threat from Sydney's encroaching suburbs. In particular, the small farms around the Austral area have a shadow hanging over them because they are in the middle of Macquarie Street's designated south-west growth centre. About 115,000 new homes will be built in an area that also happens to be the site of about 40 per cent of the city's market gardens." I hope you still have them Tim.

Get a sense of humour. Bob Katter may not be the smartest or most articulate speaker but his point is spot on. I have lived and often travel to the capitals and have family in the capitals and the P C police iare killing the Australian way. There was no malice intended- it was in jest to promote the town full of hard working wealthy Aussie blokes- real blokes who want real women- not ultra thin up them selves beauty queens. Get a life you idiots.

Hang on a minute, until you have experienced living on a farm, depending on good old mother nature to provide rain when necessary & dry weather when necessary, not knowing if your crops will fail or prosper, wondering if your sheep will be fly blown, wondering how many ewes will die giving birth to their lambs, wondering how many lambs will die, wondering where the next dollar is coming from to feed your family, then SHUT UP. Experience it first before you criticize a farm life. Morons.
