A couple in the United States have been accused of attempting to trade sex with the woman's five-year-old daughter for a used car.
A court in San Antonio, Texas has heard Jennifer Richards, 25, and her boyfriend, Sean Michael Block, 40, intended to offer the sexual services of Richards' five-year-old daughter in return for an apartment, a used car and child care for Richards' 10-month-old daughter.
It is alleged the couple also intended to sell the sexual service of the 10-month-old at a later date.
According to an affidavit the couple came under investigation when an informant told the FBI about a text message sent by Block which read: "Nice piece 5 yrs old belongs to my gf and she wants to sell it."
According to the affidavit Richards "was of the belief that these sexual interactions would be a positive experience for (her daughter) and that Richards would receive sexual gratification" from watching.
Both Block and Richards are being held by police and the children are no longer in their custody. Authorities said neither had been sold for sex.
The FBI's lead investigator Rex Miller said while reviewing computers the couple used and listening to taped conversations he came across further plans to abduct, rape and "carve up" a teenage runaway.
Block's lawyer, Ronald Guyer, acknowledged the severity of the charges but said there was no evidence the behaviour progressed beyond Block's fantasy.
Court records show Block's estranged wife, Sarah Block, filed for a protective order last week on behalf of the couple's 14-month-old child. She filed for divorce on Friday.
