A Swedish court has found a German woman guilty of murdering two toddlers and seriously injuring their mother with a hammer.
A panel of judges today found there was convincing proof to support the charge that Christine Schurrer entered the Swedish family's home armed with a hammer and struck them repeatedly with intent to kill.
She had denied the charge.
The children, aged one and three, died from their injuries in the March attack. Their mother survived but was hospitalised for weeks afterward.
Today's ruling required that Schurrer undergo a psychiatric examination before the court decides on a sentence.
The 32-year-old Schurrer previously had a relationship with the Swedish mother's boyfriend.
