A 22-year-old man, charged over a series of sex attacks in Sydney west and northwest, will remain behind bars until at least October.
A lawyer for the man from Rooty Hill has appeared in court on his behalf, requesting his name and any indentifying factors be suppressed from the public
Fairfield Local Court has granted that wish – the matter will go before Penrith Local Court on October 10, with a brief of evidence to be handed over by the October 8.
Bail was not applied for and was formerly refused.
The defendant didn’t come up from the holding cells.

DNA has led police to an alleged serial sex attacker preying on young girls in Sydney's west and northwest.
Police are confident they’ve caught Sydney’s so-called ‘buck tooth’ rapist, after a 22-year-old Rooty Hill man was charged overnight.
The man was arrested at the factory where hill worked at Wetherill Park, at around nine o’clock last night.
Police allege he’s responsible for attacks on six women since April – the latest was on Friday, with a schoolgirl threatened at knife point.
He’s been under surveillance for several days, with sex crimes squad commander Detective Superintendent John Kerlatec saying forensic evidence helped officers track him down.
Detective Kerlatec 2GB’s has told Jason Morrison, the victims were also vital in helping police find him.
“It is a credit to them - it has been a traumatic experience for them. We’ve worked with them and their families throughout the ordeal, and will ensure that they maintain the assistance they need to progress and go forward…”
He's been charged with a string of offences, including aggravated sexual assault, robbery, indecent assault and stalking and intimidation.
Police also raided properties in Rooty Hill, Glendenning and Doonside, seizing clothing and knives.
He's the second man to be arrested over the violent attacks, after police cleared the first suspect.
It’s not known if he was already known to police.
