4/09/2008 6:50:00 AM.  | Rachael Stevens
The shooting death of a teenager at a home on the mid-north coast might have been a tragic accident.

The 16-year-old boy was found with a gunshot wound to his body in a home on Koonwarra Street at West Haven just after midday yesterday.

A 15-year-old boy, apparently known to the victim was taken in for questioning but later released, police have seized a gun.

There were no signs of a fight before the incident and police are investigating whether the shooting was deliberate or accidental.

A report is being prepared for the coroner.
