WA voters head to the polls

6/09/2008 8:30:00 AM.  | Victoria Owens
Labor's stronghold across every state and territory could come to an end today as voters head to the polls in Western Australia.

The WA government is in danger of becoming the first Labor administration to fall in more than a decade in today's state election.

The latest Newspoll shows Labor's primary vote has collapsed with a significant anti-Labor swing in key marginal seats.

Voters are also heading to the polls in the federal seats of Mayo and Lyne recently made vacant by Alexander Downer and Mark Vaile.
