'Palin? Not on my couch': Oprah

8/09/2008 9:01:00 AM.  | LIVENEWS.com.au

Talk-show queen, Oprah Winfrey, may have introduced Barack Obama to women around the world but was not too fussed about showing them the first female nominee in 164 years to be on a Republican presidential ticket.

Oprah has been on the Barack Obama presidential campaign bandwagon since before he announced his running for president and has snobbed Sarah Palin until after the campaign is over.

She previously hosted a fundraiser for the democrat senator, has been the MC to many of his rallies, lured crowds, volunteers, and not to mention donations, to his political campaign.

Oprah issued a statement to TMZ which clearly stated her intentions not to have Palin on her couch anytime soon.

"There has been absolutely no discussion about having Sarah Palin on my show.

"At the beginning of this Presidential campaign when I decided that I was going to take my first public stance in support of a candidate, I made the decision not to use my show as a platform for any of the candidates.

I agree that Sarah Palin would be a fantastic interview, and I would love to have her on after the campaign is over."

Who would want to go on her show anyway? This is a woman who overestimates her power over other women, middle class white women are turning off her anyway - the very audience that made her famous.

Like, What a PIG.This is nothing more than Winfrey following the Entertainers in their Quest of ousting the Republicans. Sad old OPRAH," do you know who I am", Stop trying to control the World. So smart so rich so powerful, yet so Predjudiced. Strange the lady can spend Millions in Africa and next to nothing in America. I guess her racial Preference only goes so far. Do us a favour luvvy, Get off the TV.

Oprah has shown such bias to Obama that it buggers the mind. Of course she would not interview a WHITE woman, and a conservative to boot, who they perceive a threat to the unqualified black Obama who is on the Democratic ticket. Well I have news for her -- she can keep her T.V. show and her perceived "influence" on the public. The American public should think long and hard before they cast their ballots in the next election as the future of their country is at stake.

Yes I agree about Oprah showing her true colors. I have always been a fan of Oprah. Watched her show for years. But now - I think I've about had it. "What makes her think that Sarah will go on her show after this is over?" I'll bet if she needed the ratings - she'd put her on. Alot of television bull****! And also - how did McCain know that she would be accepted like this? I think you're all jealous
