A man is in a serious condition after being stabbed in the chest outside an RSL in Sydney's southwest overnight.
The man believed to be in his 20's was attacked during a brawl on Howard Street in Padstow.
The victim stumbled into an RSL screaming for help – he was taken to hospital in a serious condition, but his wounds weren’t life threatening.
The club's manager Charles Wittimore has told Macquarie News, the man staggered inside and started yelling at staff as they tried to help him," Mr Wittimore said.
“He was obviously in shock, and he was extremely cranky – he thought at once stage that he was going to throw up.
“He was trying to push people off him that were trying to say ‘listen just stay in the chair until the ambulance arrives…’ a very strong young bloke.”
According to Police, several people were arrested at the scene of the brawl.
