Beaconsfield inquest hears final witness

25/09/2008 4:24:00 PM.  | AAP
The marathon coroner's inquest into the death of Beaconsfield miner Larry Knight has heard today from its final witness.

Every day for the past nine weeks the dead miner's older brother SHANE Knight has attended the Launceston inquest to hear the evidence .. which has culminated with former mine boss Matthew Gill's three days of testimony.

Larry Knight died instantly when crushed by a mining-induced rockfall deep underground at the Beaconsfield Gold Mine in Tasmania on Anzac Day 2006.

His brother says until an outcome's announced it's hard to say if the inquiry's provided closure.

Coroner Rod Chandler's adjourned the inquest until November 10 when legal teams will present their final submissions.
