A man faces multiple charges over a series of pharmacy break-ins on the Sunshine Coast in which products used to make the drug "ice" were stolen.
The 29-year-old Morayfield man has been charged with nine counts of break and enter, four counts of wilful damage and three counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
He has also been charged with one count each of stealing, possessing property suspected stolen, disqualified driving, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, possess a dangerous article, possess a knife in a public place, obstruct police and fraud.
The charges relate to several pharmacy break-ins in Geebung, Woodford and Wamuran over the past few months.
He is due to appear in the Caboolture Magistrates Court on Monday.
Police Minister Judy Spence said today police were working closely with pharmacists on crime prevention.
"Police also continue to work closely with pharmacy owners across Queensland to introduce secure storage for pseudoephedrine products, to deter criminals who are opportunistically smashing windows to access drugs behind the counter," Ms Spence said.
A publication called 10 Practical Tips to Reduce your Risks had been widely circulated to Queensland pharmacists, she said.
