Police are hunting a gang of Asians over an unprovoked stabbing attack on a man in Sydney's west.
The 25-year-old victim and his brother were set upon by eight men outside a shop in Regents Park about 10.30pm (AEST) on Saturday night.
Police say the brothers were standing near their truck in Amy St when they were attacked.
The 25-year-old was struck in the face as he tried to run away, but the gang caught him and stabbed him in the buttock before running away.
The victim was taken to Auburn Hospital and will undergo surgery on Saturday.
His brother was not hurt.
Police say the men they are looking for are all of Asian appearance.
