Drug-riddled singer Amy Winehouse is reportedly considering a switch to controversial religion scientology in a bid to get her life back on the right track.
The Church Of Scientology, which counts movie stars Tom Cruise and John Travolta and music figures such as Beck amongst its devotees, contacted Winehouse with the offer of ending her drugs habit, Britain’s Sunday Mirror reported.
“She had a call from the celebrity branch of the Church Of Scientology. She thinks they got her number through one of the American music producers who worked on her Back to Black album,” a source was quoted as saying in the Mirror.
“They told her they wanted to help her beat drugs and could tailor-make a programme so she wouldnt have to go to a residential center.
“She liked that idea because her husband Blake is out of prison soon and wouldn’t want to be away from him when he’s finally freed.”
