The father of Britt Lapthorne says he's been threatened by an Australian Federal Police officer to stop talking to the media.
The 21-year-old was last seen on September 18, at nightclub in Dubrovnik.
Her father, Dale, flew to Dubrovnik where he has criticised the Australian authority’s action towards the case – he even described the AFP officer in Croatia as the “phantom officer”.
Dale has told 2GB’s Chris Smith he’s been warned by the AFP - if he continues to talk to the media he’ll be excluded.
“They actually told me that they’ll stop talking to me, and giving me updates – they didn’t give me an update yesterday, they just spent the whole time telling me that I’m hindering the investigation process by talking to the media.”
Meanwhile, Britt’s mother Elke has broken down in tears as she explained her "living hell".
Elke spoke at a media conference at the family's two-acre property north of Melbourne, describing the last few days as bizarre and surreal.
"Every day it gets worse and worse. Why hasn't Britt been found for heaven's sake?"
