Police are expected to charge a Sydney woman over the stabbing death of her younger sister.
The 20-year-old was arrested at her family's home on Mosley St at Strathfield around 11.30am Friday.
Police found her inside the home with the body of her 18-year-old sister, who had suffered fatal stab wounds.
It's believed a neighbour called police. Residents in the street say the girls had lived at the home with their parents and a brother for around 10 years.
Police are now questioning the 20-year-old woman and it's expected she will be charged tonight.
Forensics officers spent the afternoon at the home while detectives door-knocked surrounding houses.
One resident has told LIVENEWS.com.au the family were very quiet, and he only knew them to wave to.
"It's terrible," he said.
"I'm just coming home from work and I just heard it on the radio.
"Then I heard from my own family. I was shocked, actually."
