Sea Eagles fullback Brett Stewart is the latest casualty from Australia's World Cup campaign, with the "shattered" Manly fullback reportedly withdrawing from the squad with a shoulder injury.
Stewart had a cortisone injection for the injury yesterday, and has now followed Justin Hodges out of the Australian squad due to injury according to News Ltd reports.
Selectors are set to name a replacement for Hodges today, and are also expected to name Stewart's replacement - likely to be Brisbane's Karmichael Hunt.
Matt Cooper has been ruled out as a possible replacement for Hodges because of a groin injury, while other outside backs Jarryd Hayne and Michael Jennings have already committed to Fiji and Tonga, respectively, for this month's World Cup.
