Less than one week into his new role with the Dragons, Wayne Bennett has revealed he'll be teaching his players how to adjust to life under two referees.
The former Brisbane steer has been a long term fan of the dual referee system, where a control referee will be aided by a second referee monitoring the ruck.
The system will be introduced in 2009 and Bennett is determined to ensure his players are ready.
"I've been an advocate of the two referees for over a decade," Bennett told the Illawarra Mercury.
"If you read some of the articles I wrote back a decade ago, I was talking about two referees then. I'm not opposed to that at all, very supportive of it."
