The father of the Sydney teenager, who died days after she was hit in the head by a golf ball, has spoken of his frustration at news a law in her name may be put on hold.
A coronial inquest found Vanessa Anderson’s death was due to systemic failures at Royal North Shore hospital.
Vanessa's Law would require a paediatrician to oversee any child admitted to an adult ward.
Warren Anderson has told 2GB’s Jason Morrison we need the legislation now more than ever.
“There’s going to be a lot of children that are admitted to an adult wards… it’s going to happen,” he said.
“[But] they need paediatrics; they need a specialist to look after them.”
