There's outrage in Canberra this morning, after a Federal Labor MP photographed a man trying to set himself on fire - and then sold the shot to the media.
James Bidgood has apologised for his actions.
The money will be given to charity.
Liberal frontbencher Joe Hockey has told 2GB’s Ray Hadley it raises serious questions about the MP's character whatever the outcome.
“The fact that an MP instinctively – in this case a Labor MP – takes a photo of a man attempting to kill himself, and then tries to sell it to the media, is the actions of someone who is seriously not fit and proper,” he said.
