3/12/2008 9:38:00 AM. Is the white lemuroid possum extinct? If so, it would make it the first mammalian extinction due to climate change.

If they have died out it would be first example of something that has gone extinct purely because of global warming. Researcher Steve Williams

26/11/2008 8:17:00 AM. Levels of climate-warming greenhouses gases rose to record highs in 2007, leading to a one per cent increase in the overall warming effect, the World Meteorological Organisation (WMO) says.

The total warming effect of all long-lived greenhouse gases was calculated to have increased by 1.06 per cent from the previous year and by 24.2 per cent since 1990. World Meteorological Organisation
